The Lake County Beekeepers Association is an affiliate of the Illinois State Beekeepers Association. The Lake County Beekeepers normally meet on the first Thursday of the month. Informal questions and discussions from 6:30PM to 7PM. The formal meeting starts promptly at 7PM. (See Calendar Page) Meetings are generally held at:

Individuals interested in bees and/or beekeeping are invited to attend our meetings. The annual dues are $30 per person. Lake County Beekeepers Association retains $20 and $10 goes to the Illinois State Beekeepers Association (ISBA). The ISBA dues include a subscription to the ISBA Bulletin. The dues are for the calendar year from January 1 through December 31.
A subscription to American Bee Journal is available to ISBA members at a 25% discount.
The purpose of the Lake County Beekeepers Association (LCBA) shall be to promote interest in honeybees and beekeeping by encouraging good beekeeping in Lake County Illinois and the utilization of honeybees for pollination of agricultural crops. This purpose will be accomplished through the dissemination of information and education about bees and beekeeping. The LCBA is a not for profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian organization. Any profits gained shall be used exclusively for educational purposes regarding bees and beekeeping in Lake County, Illinois.
The Goals of LCBA are
1. To engage in educational and helpful activities focused on beekeeping and related activities as a common foundation,
2. To learn more about honeybees, bee evolution, and beekeeping techniques,
3. To promote the practice and enjoyment of beekeeping, and
4. To educate others about honeybees and beekeeping.
